Elecom m ht1drxb Trackball Mouse

Elecom m ht1drxb Trackball Mouse does not support a Bluetooth connection to your computer, rather it uses a USB receiver, that being said I've purchased several optical trackballs over the years, some Bluetooth connectable and USB receiver models as well.

If you have an open USB port I would STRONGLY recommend you purchase this trackball, it is absolutely fantastic! It has a better connection and is faster than that of even the newest and fastest Bluetooth mice or trackballs, the precision of the rollerball is phenomenal, to say the least, and the custom ability of the buttons is awesome for gaming, web browsing, or just about anything you want to use a trackball for.

You can change the speed at which the cursor moves without opening a Windows or Mac control panel among many other features and settings built into the unit. Also, this trackball is built like a tank with the responsiveness of a Ferrari! It has fallen off my computer stand or should I say, has been knocked off by my HOSTAS joystick flight controller moving around trying to save a crashing plane in MS Flight Simulator or other aerial combat games.

I like this Elecom m ht1drxb Trackball Mouse so much that I've literally purchased 3 of them. One for my home PC, my work PC, and another one that travels in my laptop bag. With no B S., It is the best and most comfortable to use trackball I've ever owned. You will not be disappointed in the least if you purchase it. P.s. it also comes with an entire suite of software to install on a MAC or PC for further customization and additional features.

Get review:

I've had this Elecom m ht1drxb Trackball Mouse for 3 months now. Previously I had another telecom, the deft pro, and hadn't realized I was getting the same brand when I needed a replacement (RIP). I've always been in awe of the Kensington but I think ergonomically the telecom huge is like the sofa chair of mice. The base where you put your palm is foam-like you're actually getting a pillow in your mouse.

The trackball bearings aren't great. I haven't been brave enough to replace mine and they did naturally round out over time. I now don't have any issues with that but could be better modded with ceramic or steel mouse bearings. As for the buttons, I just recently after having the mouse for 3 months decided to change them to my liking--mapping attached.

It's so great to have the mac launchpad (option + L ), screenshot (shift + command + 4), and show all windows on the mouse. I also like using my ring and pinky finger on the buttons! As a bit of feedback, I wish they took less pressure to trigger as those are my weakest fingers. One more thing I did that others may want to try is placing the left and right-click above the scroll wheel.

This shortens the extension (?) of the thumb needed so it could be a more natural fit. I did have aches in my hand when I initially started using the mouse and I think doing that earlier could have helped. 3 months in and I'm happy with this mouse today. Enjoy! This is a solid product in construction, electronics, materials, software, integration, and operation, in the first instance the ergonomics release a lot of stress in the shoulder.

Elbow and wrist as you don't need to displace it all over your desk (you can operate it in very small desks even with 3 monitors), in the second instance it releases all the strain in your hand as you don't need to hold it or grab it, you just rest your hand in the big pad and operates it with the big trackball which provides control and precision (if this is your first time with a trackball you will need a few hours to train your hand and brain to reach full performance and precision).

Another big strength of the product is the 8 fully adjustable and programmable buttons, the number of operations you can get with the mouse is soaring as you can combine 8 mouse buttons with keyboard keys to automate operations (8 mouse buttons and 4 keyboard keys give you 40 operations you can automate). You can use official software coming from Elecom m ht1drxb Trackball Mouse which is pretty complete or in Mac you can extend the tuning possibilities with a steer mouse (paid app).

Alkaline batteries last forever, we can talk about months without needing to turn it off, you can adjust the speed on the fly with the built-in switch, you can quickly and easily release the ball for cleaning. In terms of durability and compared with other brands which need to be replaced every 6 months my actual HUGE is 2 years old. Few improvements I would suggest for the coming version is to add Bluetooth in order to release the USB port used by the dongle, maybe make it multi-device to use it in multiple computers (KVM type) make it in different colors and why not with a customizable ball.
