ELECOM Handheld Bluetooth Thumb-operated Trackball Mouse, 10-Button

Very handy when using it in unstable places such as on the carpet, in the car, and so on. Control the media. By customizing the settings for each button.

You can switch to your most frequently used tools with the press of a button. So you can easily create illustrations and drawings. It can be operated with one hand even when you are exercising like yoga. Control the media: Play, pause, volume up & down, and track operation are possible. A total of 10 buttons are installed, and you can assign your favorite functions to all buttons.

Use your right/left hands because of the symmetry design. Right/Left buttons and media control buttons are placed at optimal positions for easy handling. The movement speed of the pointer can be switched in three counts: 500/1000/1500 count. The sensor clearly determines the light and dark of the ball and improves tracking performance.

ELECOM handheld Bluetooth thumb-powered trackball mouse, 10-button, the ball will not fall out if it is sideways or upside down, but it will not work properly when held sideways or upside down. It should not be above the 45 degrees off level in any direction for it to work properly. It will have a hole in the bottom of the ball until you drop it so if you need to clean the laser lens you can stick a toothpick or something similar to get the ball out.

If you plan to use a PC in the living room to run your entertainment, this thing is one of the best additions you can buy. It simulates having a good old remote control that you can just sit there and couch surf (browse) with while your other hand is on your drink. Pro-tip, search for telecom or telecom mouse software (it is in Japanese, but you can set it to English).

Then remap some of the buttons. I remapped the left and right arrows to J and L, which are the hotkeys to jump forward and backward in many video players. I mapped the down arrow to F, which is the key for full screen and exit full screen in many video players. And then I mapped the up arrow to F5 for refreshing pages. Then the remaining keys already control play/pause, and back/forward on the browser.

And of course, left and right clicks. One more tip, in the mapping software, you have to select "Arbitrary Key '' to bind most of the keys you need to. One downside is that the trackball could be a bit more precise... Even with G-Sync and 120 FPS, it is not the greatest. I have heard that it is because they used a red ball. I am going to experiment with coloring it or finding a replacement.

It needs a 3/4 inch ball, but I already tried steel bearings, but they are too heavy to work. Still worth every penny if you have the same setup as mine. My right hand became injured and I tried a couple of mice that can go both ways but they all had shortcomings (usually in the area of limited buttons). I don't particularly like thumb-operated trackballs, but this one is so much better than anything else on the market.

There are left and right buttons, forward, backward, pause, fast forward, volume up and down, and the scroll wheel is also clickable (it closes tabs (without hitting the X), opens links in new tabs without opening the tab, and of course if you click on a web page in an empty place, it will do the scroll using the pointer). . I didn't use the software that comes with it (it can do more!) because I will eventually go back to my old Logitech trackball....but I don't know...I use this device to browse the web on my laptop while sitting on the couch, replacing a less-expensive version that made my fingers sore.

It solved the problem and then some. Feels great in the hand, allows precision cursor and scroll control, and best of all, it can be programmed so you literally never need to touch a keyboard except to fill out forms. In addition, to left-click, I've got my buttons programmed with the mouse right-click, browser back, browser forward, open link in a new tab, mute laptop, volume up, and volume down.

I only wish they had a couple more programmable buttons! I've tried every available handheld mouse on the market. ELECOM Handheld Bluetooth Thumb-operated Trackball Mouse 10-Button is the only one that has lasted any length of time. It's well constructed (I've dropped it a few times on a hard floor), comfortable, accurate, etc. I highly recommend it! I like the handheld trackball unit, it works great. I have large hands and this is just a little small but it still survives the purpose well.

Update:

On the computer. The buttons function at default settings when no driver is installed. Looks like you have the one that requires the USB transceiver. I have the version that is Bluetooth and I had no problem connecting it to two different computers. Bluetooth works from about 3/4 the length of my top floor with a couch and pool table in the way so I'd say around 50 feet. You might want to try making sure your Samsung is running Bluetooth 4.0 minimally. As far as I know, Bluetooth 5.2 is the latest version. You also might try checking with Samsung for the latest drivers for Bluetooth devices. There might be some compatibility issues you may have overlooked.
